France: Île de Ré. 6 sheets. (5-6) Two engraved copies, each comprising six joined sheets, of a panoramic view showing fortifications, entrenchments, and ships and troops in action during an attack. Substantial damage to both copies: (5) portions missing along the right-hand edge, particularly at the corners; (6) holes in the lower half of the view and the lower left-hand corner missing. Engraved by [Jacques] Callot, [Nancy]. Item (6) Endorsed in MS: 'Isle of Ré showing attack probably by the English in 1627. From Col. Landmann's collection'. (1-4) An account, in French, of the English attack on the island, with a reference table to the numbered points shown on items (5-6). MS. Dated Paris, 12 March 1630.
