Kent: Dover. 4 items. (1) Reference table to lettered and numbered points on items (2) and (4). (2, 4) Two copies of a map showing Ordnance land, fortifications and other defences. Reference tables. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet [1;2,400]. Compass indicators. Item (4) drawn by [James] W Anderson; signed by Major Henry L Ford. Various pencilled additions and corrections to both items; those on item (4) dated 1929 and 12 September 1845. [?]Item (2) copied from item (4). (3) Sketch plan of redoubts in front of the castle, proposed to be constructed by Lieutenant Colonel Ford. Reference note. Based on information supplied to Lieutenant General Mann, 8 July 1814; this plan dated 23 May 1857. Dimensions: (1) 37.5 cm x 48.5 cm; (2) 63.5 cm x 129 cm; (3) 62 cm x 33 cm; (4) 66 cm x 127 cm. Items (1-2, 4) originally produced in relation to a report dated 31 March 1811; the report is not filed on this roll.
