Sussex. Two partial copies of a map on four sheets: (1) Three sheets joined, together covering the county west of Eastbourne; (2) all four sheets joined, together covering the whole county, save that the eastern portion of the map is badly damaged. Both copies show named settlements and rape and hundred divisions. Piano-key border. Scale: [2 inches to 1 mile]. Compass indicator to each item. [Surveyed by] Thomas Gream; [engraved by Thomas Foot]; published by William [Faden], Charing Cross, 4 June, [year missing: the War Office docket book suggests that the map dates from the 1790s]. MS additions, coloured, to item (2) only, highlighting county and rape boundaries and major roads. Dimensions: (1) 78 cm x 148.5 cm; (2) 77.5 cm x 187 cm.
