(5) Map showing hachures, existing defences and a proposed new hexagon-shaped defence work; damaged at the lower right-hand corner. (4) Irregular-shaped overlay, affixed to the face of item (5), shows an alternative proposal for a pentagon-shaped defence work. (1) Sections of each face of the hexagon. (3) Sections of each face of the pentagon. (2) Section on a line from Spike Island to Ringaskiddy (Rinn an Scidígh). Reference table to item (5); partly missing. Scale: (1, 3) 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]; (2, 4-5) 1 inch to 100 feet [1:1,200]. Compass indicator to item (5).
