Channel Islands: Jersey: Saint Helier parish. 5 sheets of drawings showing proposed improvements and additions to Elizabeth Castle: (1) plan and section of the bomb-proof store; plan and sections of Charles Fort; (3) plan of the whole castle; (4) sections through the proposed alterations; (5) plan, elevations and sections of casemates [i.e. foritified chambers]. Reference table to item (3). Scale: (1, 4-5) 1 inch to 6 feet [1:72]; (2) 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]; (3) 1 inch to 35 feet [1:420]. Each sheet signed by Lieutenant Colonel G G Lewis, Royal Engineers; and by Lieutenant W M Heath. Dimensions: (1) 53.5 cm x 44.5 cm; (2) 45.5 cm x 73.5 cm; (3) 104 cm x 74.5 cm; (4) 72 cm x 130 cm; (5) 70.5 cm x 81 cm. Originally accompanying Lieutenant Colonel Lewis's report to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 8 May 1834; the report is not filed on this roll.
