Kent: Isle of Sheppey: Sheerness. 16 sheets of drawings of a proposed barracks: (1) ground-floor plan of the guard house, hospital and neighbouring buildings; (2) basement plan of the buildings depicted on item (1); (3) ground-floor plan of the hospital; (4) upper-floor plan of the barrack store; (5) ground-floor plan of the barrack store; (6) ground floor plan of houses for a barrack master and barrack sergeants, designed in compliance with an order of the Board of Ordnance, 27 June 1814; (7) basement plan of the hospital and its outbuildings; (8) plan and elevation of the officers' stables; (9) basement plan of the left wing of the soldiers' barracks and outhouses; (10) basement plan of the officers' barrack and mess; (11) ground floor plan of the left wing of the soldiers' barracks; (12) ground-floor plan of the officers' barrack and mess; (13) front elevation of the officers' barrack and mess; (14) section through a barrack and cookhouse; (15) front elevation of the front of the left wing of the solders' barracks; (16) section through the central building of the officers' block. Scale: (1-2, 9-13, 15) 1 inch to 10 feet [1:120]; (3, 7) 1 inch to 8 feet [1:96]; (4-5) 1 inch to 5 feet [1:60]; (6, 8) 1 inch to 6 feet [1:72]; (14, 16) 1 inch to 2 feet [1:24]. All items by Captain [Robert] Thomson and Lieutenant C Oldershaw, Royal Engineers' Department, Sheerness; dated: (1-13, 15) 15 May 1823, (14) 20 June 1823. (16) 29 June 1823. Dimensions between 32 cm x 65.5 cm and 72.5 cm x 130.5 cm.
