South-east England. 7 sheets of the Ordnance Survey one-inch Old Series England and Wales joined: [I NW, I NE, I SW, I SE, II, III and VI], together comprising the area between Broxbourne in Hertfordshire, the mouth of the River Blackwater in Essex, Dover in Kent, and East Grinstead in Sussex. Piano-key border. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. Engraved by Benjamin Baker and assistants; writing by Ebenezer Bourne; sheets III and VI published at the Tower [of London] under the superintendence of Colonel Mudge, 1 January 1819; [revised, with railways and Martello Towers added, to various dates between c1840 and c1857]. Endorsed in MS: 'The Thames, and part of Kent and Essex'.
