Kent, Surrey, and Sussex. 4 sheets of the Ordnance Survey one-inch Old Series England and Wales joined: III, IV, V and VI, together covering the area between Crystal Palace (now in the London Borough of Bromley), Broadstairs and Dungeness(Kent), and Rottingdean (Sussex). Piano-key border. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. Information concerning engraving, dates, etc is not now visible; [?engraved by Benjamin Baker and assistants; writing by Ebenezer Bourne; published at the Tower of London under the superintendence of Colonel Mudge, 1816-1819; revised, with railways and martello towers added, to c1854-1859]. Coloured MS additions show War Office property in the Royal Engineers' district of Dover. The additions were made to form an index plan to a property statement (Book 130); the statement is not filed on this roll.
