A note on each sheet (except item 3) states that the map has been corrected in accordance with an order of the Director of Works dated 29 November 1864; these notes by Thomas Coad, Commanding Royal Engineer, 21 April 1865. Originally accompanying a letter from Colonel W E Delves Broughton to the Director of Works, 12 October 1865; the letter is not filed on this roll.
