Hampshire: Portsmouth Harbour. 6 sheets of drawings of docks: (1) transverse section; (2) plan and sections of the wharf walls; (3) plan and sections of a caisson [i.e. a boat-shaped floodgate]; (4) plan and sections of a dock; (5) [transverse] section; (6) plan and sections showing an area to be dredged, a dry dock and surrounding buildings. Scale: (1, 5) 1 inch to 4 feet [1:48]; (2) 1 inch to 8 feet [1:96] (plan), 1 inch to 4 feet (sections); (3) 1 inch to 2 feet [1:24]; (4) [1 inch to about 8 feet]; (6) 1 inch to 20 feet (plan and horizontal scale of sections), 1 inch to 8 feet (vertical scale of sections). Each sheet signed by H StJohn Draper and C W E Pines, Engineers. Dimensions: (1) 50 cm x 69.5 cm; (2) 50 cm x 73.5 cm; (3) 64.5 cm x 97 cm; (4) 77 cm x 126.5 cm; (5) 48 cm x 71.5 cm; (6) 83 cm x 129.5 cm.
