(1) 'Outline plan showing the relative situations of the Buildings, drains and waterpipes ...'; (2) 'Ground Plan of the Main Barracks ...'; (3-4) 'Detailed Plan of the Buildings within the Ramparts of the Castle ...': two different plans. Reference tables to items (1-2). Scale: (1-2) 1 inch to 70 feet [1:840]; (3-4) 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]. Compass indicator to item (1). Each sheet signed by Lieutenant [Charles] Alexander, Royal Engineers, Cape of Good Hope, 8 July 1825. Dimensions: (1) 47 cm x 69 cm; (2) 35 cm x 51 cm; (3) 58 cm x 65 cm; (4) 85 cm x 97 cm.
