Description

'Kaffraria, South Africa': map of the area (subsequently part of Cape Colony and now in Eastern province, South Africa) between the Keiskama River and the Bashee River, showing the Great Kei River and its tributaries. Reference note on the accuracy of the survey. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles. Compass indicator. Signed by Captain R Tylden, Royal Engineers, 12 February 1854; and Lieutenant Colonel P Cole, Commanding Royal Engineer, 15 March 1854.
