(2) 'London and its Environs': detailed, printed map of the area between Wembley Park in Middlesex (now in the London Borough of Brent), Whipps Cross in Essex (now in the London Borough of Waltham Forest), Hither Green in Kent (now in the London Borough of Lewisham) and Kingston Bottom (now Kingston Vale) in Surrey (now in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames); showing roads and streets, main buildings, open spaces, named villages and urban areas, and railways. Reference table listing parishes. Decorative border. Scale: 3.72 inches to about 1 mile. Published by James Wyld, Geographer to the Queen, Charing Cross East, [c1850]. Coloured MS additions mark 10-foot contours. Endorsed with the date of 1859. (1) MS, coloured, map, on tracing cloth, showing the same area as item (2) and additional areas as far east as Woolwich, Kent (now in the London Borough of Greenwich), showing the outline of the River Thames, railway lines and stations, and 10-foot contours.
