Devon and Cornwall. Two sheets of the Ordnance Survey Old Series England and Wales joined: XXIV and XXV, the combined map showing the area between Okehampton, Prawle Point and Looe. 'Piano key' border. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. Produced under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel W Mudge, Royal Artillery, at the Tower of London; printed by Ramshaw; published 11 October 1809. MS additions highlight the area around Plymouth and show proposed works for the defence of Devonport. Signed by William Jervois, 23 February 1858. A pencilled reference note to the additions is dated 9 March 1864.
