Description

Essex and Suffolk. Six copies of a map of Harwich, Shotley Gate and the Landguard peninsula, showing the 'Ipswich River' [i.e. River Orwell] and 'Manningtree River' [i.e. River Stour], and soundings in Harwich Harbour. Item (1) is unfinished or a draft; items (2-6) show settlements, fortifications, fields and the nature of the terrain in detail. Scale: 1 inch to 400 feet. Compass indicators to all items. Item (3) initialled by H D. Items (1-2, 4-6) endorsed with the name of J P Desmaretz.
