Three sheets of plans and sections relating to the Portsmouth Junction Railway: (1) section of the proposed route across the Hilsea Lines; (2) plan of the proposed depot site; (3) plan and section, on 1 sheet, of the proposed route over the Hilsea Lines. Scale: (1) 1 inch to 10 feet [1:120]; (2) 1 inch to 1 chain [1:792]; (3) 1 inch to 1 chain (plan), 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240] (section). Compass indicators to items (2-3). All items signed by Francis Giles, 1 August 1835; item (3) also signed by Colonel E W Durnford, Commanding Royal Engineer, December 1836; item (1) initialled by S B H [?Samuel B Howlett], 2 January 1837. Dimensions: (1) 31 cm x 327 cm; (2) 65 cm x 97.5 cm; (3) 104.5 cm x 119.5 cm.
