Hampshire: Hurst Peninsula. Map, showing the surrounding mudland and lakes as far as Sturt Bridge, Keyhaven and Colonel's Lake. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Compass indicator. Signed by Samuel B Howlett, Chief Draughtsman, [?1842]. MS addition shows a new boundary, set out by the Lord of the Manor and the Ordnance, 14 May 1845; reference note; initialled S B H, 20 May 1845. Originally accompanying a letter from Mr Howlett to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 7 June 1842; the letter is not preserved on this roll.
