Description

5 sheets of the Ordnance Survey of Ireland six-inch First Edition joined: County Londonderry sheets [XIII, XIV, XX, XXI and XXII]: the combined map covering the city of Londonderry and its environs in Templemore and Clondermot (or Glendermot) parishes, with areas outside of these parishes being left blank; (the whole of this area is now in Northern Ireland). The acreage of each township is shown. Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile. Surveyed by Captain [M A] Waters and Lieutenants [W] Lancey, [E] Vicars and [C E] Wilkinson, all of the Royal Engineers; engraved by John Oldham, under the direction of Lieutenant [T A] Larcon, Royal Engineers, at the Ordnance Survey Office, Phoenix Park, Dublin, 1831; ornamentation by James Duncan and J Macaulay; writing by Michael Sandys; [published 1833].
