'Plan of New York and its environs, shewing the Lines projected and partly executed for its defence ...': map of the southern tip of Manhattan Island, Governor's Island, Bedloe's Island (now Liberty Island), Bucking Island (now Ellis Island), part of north-eastern Kings county (Brooklyn), and part of Paulus Hook (now Jersey City) on the New Jersey coast; (the area shown is now in New York and New Jersey states in the United States of America). The map shows streets, hills, fortifications, the range and traverse of batteries across of the East River. Reference table to works in progress. Scale: 1 inch to 400 feet.
