1 item (originally enclosed with a letter from Sir C B H Mitchell, Government Hill, Penang (now Pinang), to the Colonial Office, 7 January 1897) extracted from CO 273/228. 'Map shewing means of communication in the states of Perak and Selangor completed or under construction': map of the area (now in Malaysia) between Kedah and Sungei Ujong, showing cart roads, bridle roads, and railways operating, under-construction and proposed. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles. Compass indicator. Traced by J R Angus. Signed: C R Hanson, Royal Engineers, 31 October 1896, and E N Ulias, Chief Surveyor, Perak, 24 November 1896.
