Ireland: County Londonderry (now in Northern Ireland). 'Part of the parish of Templemore ...': two maps of the same area (now part of the city of Derry or Londonderry), joined to form a single sheet: (a) '... according to the degree of minuteness originally contemplated By A.D. White Lieutt. Royl. Engrs. 1826'; (b) '... as finally prepared for Valuation by C.C. Wilkinson, Lieutt. Rl. Engrs. 1831'. Both maps show roads, buildings and acreages; (b) shows considerably more detail than (a). Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile. Both maps signed by Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Colby, Royal Engineers. A note states: 'Referred to in Committee's Report upon the Irish Survey, in October 1833'; the report is not filed at this roll. These maps were apparently produced in connection with the surveying and preparation of the Ordnance Survey of Ireland six-inch First Edition County Londonderry map.
