Three copies of a map of the River Shannon (An tSionainn) between Lough Allen (Loch Aillionn) in County Leitrim, and Athlone (Baile Átha Luain) in County Westmeath, on Lough Ree (Loch Rí), showing soundings. Reference tables to item (3) only. Scale: 1 inch to about 7 furlongs. Compass indicator to each sheet. Surveyed by John Brownrigge, 1795. (1) Copied by Thomas Peckham; (2) copied by W Chambers, 21 January 1804; (3) [Brownrigge's original]. Dimensions between 45 cm x 160 cm and 61 cm x 157 cm.
