'Plan of the Islands of Malta and Gozo [Ghawdex]': map on two joined sheets, showing roads, named settlements, the nature of the terrain, and the geological structure of the archipelago. Reference table to rock and soil types; glossary to place name elements. Scale: 2 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator; south-west at the top. [Based on an original map] surveyed and drawn by Lieutenant [James W] Worsley, Royal Engineers, Valletta, 1824; engraved at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1856; geological data derived from surveys by the Earl of Ducie and Captain A B Spratt, Royal Navy. Inset: four geological sections.
