West Africa. (3) 'A Chart of the River Gambia from its Entrance to Pisanea [Pisania (now Karantaba, in Gambia)] on three sheets. Surveyed by Lieutenant Richard Owen, R.N. [Royal Navy] assisted by Messrs. E O Tudor and S M Mercer, Midshipmen of HM Ship Leven by Order of Capt. W F W Owen, June 1826': map comprising six joined sheets: a complete copy of Admiralty chart 608, with charts 609 and 610 cut into three and two portions, respectively. (1) Complete copy of Admiralty chart 610, covering (in two parts) the area between 15°22' and 14°34'W. (2) Complete copy of Admiralty chart 609, covering (in three parts) the area between 16°23' and 15°20'W. Scale: 1 inch to about 1.5 miles. Engraved by J and C Walker; published by the Admiralty, 30 November 1826; corrected to 1829.
