Cornwall: Maker Heights (near Millbrook). Five sheets of drawings of a design for a fort proposed by the Duke of Richmond, Master General of the Ordnance: (1) plan of the fort and surrounding redoubts; (2-3) two copies of a plan very similar to item (1); (4) plan comparing the Duke's scheme with a design proposed by Colonel Dixon, Commanding Royal Engineer; (5) sheet of sections on the lines marked on items (1-3). Scale: (1-4) 1 inch to 100 feet [1:1,200]; (5) 1 inch to 40 feet [1:480]. Compass indicators to items (1-4). Item (5) signed by Lieutenant G W Phipps, Royal Engineers, 1784.
