18 items extracted from CO 87/234/7. Gambia: Bathurst (now Banjul). 18 sheets of plans, elevations and sections relating to the widening of the berthage of the pier. (1) A copy of figure 1 only from item 17. (2-16) 15 copies of the upper half of figure 3 only from item 17. (17) 4 sketches on 1 sheet. Figure 1: front elevation of the pier; scale: 1 inch to 16 feet [1:192]. Figure 2: plan of the layout of girders and piles; reference notes; scale: 1 inch to 16 feet [1:192]. Figure 3: cross-section of the pier; reference notes; scale: 1 inch to 4 feet [1:48]. Figure 4: key plan, showing the location of the pier in relation to the Custom House; scale: 1 inch to 100 feet [1:1,200]; compass indicator. (18) Sheet bearing detailed plans and sections of different components of the pier, including bollards, caps, couplings, fenders, joists, piles, plates, and bolts, pins, screws etc. [By] Coode, Son and Matthews, 11 March 1905. Different MS additions, coloured, to items 1-16, showing broken, damaged or loose components; MS additions to item 17 making certain details clear where the print is faint and smudged.
