Kent: Isle of Sheppey: Sheerness. Five sheets relating to the construction of a new redoubt. (1-4) Detailed estimate of the costs of the works. (5) 'Plan shewing the Positions of the proposed Stone Redout [sic] Sheerness, 1794': also showing existing bastions and the high-water line at spring tides. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet. Signed: Major-General W Spry, Commanding Royal Engineer, Chatham Lines, 27 October 1794. Insets: plans and sections of the redoubt. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet [1:480] (redoubt plan and longitudinal section); 1 inch to 6 feet [1:72] (cross-section and foundations plan). Dimensions: (1-4) each 39.5 cm x 25 cm; (5) 68 cm x 183 cm.
