Scotland: Midlothian: Leith (now part of Edinburgh). Four sheets of plans and sections of docks. (1) Plan of a proposed battery for the dock wharf. (2) Section of the dock and sea walls. (3) Plans of the wet and dry docks, showing Ordnance works intended to be carried out by the Corporation of Edinburgh, udner the agreement of February 1807. (4) Plan of the docks showing a tidal harbour, ships being built, and warehouses and sheds proposed to be constructed along the shore between the west pier and Newhaven. Scale: (1) 1 inch to 75 feet [1:850]; (2) 1 inch to 8 feet [1:96]; (3) 1 inch to 150 feet [1:1,700]. Item (4) signed: Captain Henry Evatt, Royal Engineers. Inset to item (4): section of a proposed Martello tower. Items (1-3) endorsed with the signature of Mr [John] Rennie [the elder]; items (1-2) dated 1807 and 1805.
