Description

Devon and Cornwall. Map of the area between Devonport and Crafthole, showing military reconnaissance details, including advance and reserve positions. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 300 yards. Compass indicator. Signed: Captain Richard J Nelson, Royal Engineers. Originally produced in connection with a report to Colonel Oldfield, 8 January 1847, and Colonel Oldfield's own report to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 9 January 1847.
