Cape Town (now in Western Cape province, South Africa). Three copies of: 'Plan of the Town and Fortifications at the Cape of Good Hope'. Reference table to defences. Scale: 1 inch to about 70 Rhineland roods or 140 toises. Compass indicator. A note to item (3) states: '24th March 97 sent to the Drawing Room by the Master General to be Copied, the Original to be left in the Office'. Item (2) signed: Captain G Bridges, Royal Engineers. All items endorsed: 'Southern Africa - Cape Town and Surrounding Country Capt. Bridges 1798'.
