Port Simpson to Cross Sound including the Koloschensk Archipelago [now the Alexander Archipelago] chiefly from Vancouver's Survey in 1792, corrected from a Russian Chart published in 1853': map showing named islands and soundings. Scale: 1 inch to about 8.3 miles. Compass roses. Published 13 July 1865; corrected to October 1869. Inset: 'Anchorage of Point Highfield': map showing soundings; also showing Simonof Island. MS additions, coloured, showing the boundary between Alaska and British Columbia, along the Portland Canal and south of Prince of Wales Island. MS endorsement: 'Chart of the Portland Canal (Alaska Boundary) - With Admiralty letter of 16 June 1873. Two other copies of this map were procured from the Admiralty, for the use of Sir E Thornton and Capt Cameron, January 24, 1874'.
