13 extracts from E 13/1080 m 14 (plea roll of 1779). Four altered apportionments of corn rents in West Horndon, Essex dated 20 March 1940, 28 February 1957, 12 September 1957 and 31 March 1958. Each apportionment is accompanied by a schedule of properties. The apportionments dated 20 March 1940, 28 February 1957 and 31 March 1958 are each accompanied by a map, based on Ordnance Survey Essex sheet LXXX.
The altered apportionments and the maps were transferred to the Public Record Office by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in 1940, 1957 and 1958, and seem to have been sewn immediately into the portfolio under the reference MR 263. It was clearly intended that they should be kept with the enrolment of the enclosure award on E 13/1080. It was presumably considered impractical to sew them into this document and an extract sheet was sewn in instead, giving details of the maps and apportionments, the information that they should be kept with the enrolment, and the reference under which they could be found. Subsequently, the certificate of redemption of corn rents (dated 1959) and schedule were sewn into the portfolio.
