Ordnance Survey six-inch County Series sheets Lancashire 38 and [43], joined to show the estuary of the River Wyre. Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile. Sheet 43 surveyed 1844 by Capt Tucker and Lts Hamley and Stanley, RE; contoured 1846 by Lts Cameron and Barlow, RE. Engraved 1846-1847 at the Ordnance Map Office, Southampton: outline by L D'Elbous; writing by J A Harrison; ornament by G Walker. Published 31 March 1848. MS additions show the line of embankment across Kirkscar Bay proposed by Sir Peter Fleetwood; inset MS sections through the embankment (1 inch to 10 feet). Annotated with Admiralty consent dated 19 November 1862. This is a duplicate of a drawing transmitted to Sir Peter Fleetwood.
