North America. 'Map of that portion of Her Majesty's Colonies of New Brunswick and Lower Canada [now Quebec] the title to which is disputed by the Government of the U. States with parts of the Adjacent Country [i.e. Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont] ... directed to be made 1839'. Scale: 1 inch to about 15.5 miles. Engraved by James Wyld, Geographer to the Queen, Charing Cross East; approved by the Land Commissioners, Colonel Mudge and Mr Featherstonhaugh. 2 insets: sections across the country, showing the height of the land above sea level. MS addition, coloured, highlighting the boundary between British and United States territory. New Brunswick and Quebec are both now in Canada.
