Knaresborough, Yorkshire. (1) and (2) Survey of officers, fees and rents of forests, parks and mills. Undated: [?1561]. (3) 'Knaresbrough': perspective view of Knaresborough Castle, showing outer walls and towers, buildings within the walls, four figures and a lion on the battlements; and gatehouse with portcullis and bridge. Also shows watermill, sluice, river, bridge and trees outside the ditch. Remains of black border. No scale shown. Made to illustrate a survey of northern castles by Sir Ambrose Cave, chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, in 1561. Dimensions of sheets: (1) and (2) 30 cm x 21 cm; (3) 55 cm x 115 cm.
