Indenture witnessing the appointment of Sir Esmond de Eggeswere as receiver of William de Montagu, earl of Salisbury and Lord of Man, of the lordship of [the Isle of] Man, paying for the works for the castle of Peel by survey of the warden thereof or his lieutenant, the payments to be entered weekly, and taking 20 marks a year for his wages from the issues of his bailiwick; and Esmond will come to the earl in England or elsewhere, taking 2s a day while coming, staying and returning and letters of warrant of the earl for the same wages and passages.
