Description

Grant by John Sutton, citizen, goldsmith, alderman, and one of the four wardens of the crafte of goldsmythes, London, John Walssh, Matthew Halle, and Humphrey Hayford, also wardens, with the assent of John Paddesley, goldsmith and alderman of London, William Walton, Matthew Philip, Thomas Legget, Thomas Reyner, John Werk, Bartholomew Bremsham, and John Adys, goldsmiths of London, and of all the commonalty of the said craft, to Thomas Thorp, for life, of an annuity of 4 marks by the hands of the renters of the same craft, and of four yards of cloth yearly of the suit of the worthy men of the same craft, in return for which Thomas Thorp grants that he will attend all assemblies of the craft to give his counsel, when required, and to write and examine the accounts thereof.
