Release by Richard son of Beatrice daughter of Folcard de Hartic[um]b, to the monks of Mont St Michel [Normandy], of all his right in land in the manor of Hartic[um]be, which the said Beatrice formerly claimed against the said monks; in return for which Sir Henry, the prior of Otterton, has given 3s. to Richard. Witnesses:- Geoffrey de la Pomeri, William the Fleming (Flandrensi), Ralph de Monte Sorello, and others (named): [Devon.] Endorsed: 'Ric[ardus] fil[ius] Beatricis de Harticumbe. ', Fragment of seal.
