Agreement witnessing that Sir Thomas Gray, lord of Heton, dwells for life, in peace of war, with Ralph, earl of Westmorland, lord of Neville and Marshal of England, who has purchased and bestowed on him the office of Constable of Bamburgh Castle; in return for which Thomas releases all actions against the said earl, who promises in time of war to pay to him the same wages as to others of his degree: [Northumberland.] 6 August, 5 Hen IV.
