Germany: Kesselring has ammunition for 4-5 days, object to delay Allies, defend northern Alpine Front and maintain contact with Bohemia-Moravia, Apr 29; Kesselring orders 7th Army to prevent Allied thrust through Passau area to Linz, May 1; since death of Fuehrer known, resistance collapsing in north Germany, May 3; no demolitions or interdictions in north Germany except for necessary tactical or strategic reasons, May 3; on orders of Hitler general staff of army subordinated to Chief of Armed Forces staff under Keitel, forces in east directly under Keitel, Apr 28; Frank to land on Flensburg airfield, May 2.
Czechoslovakia: Ribbentrop sends Fuehrer's approval for Czech industrialists to fly to France to negotiate with US for protection of country from Communists, Apr 25.
