Western Europe: battle reports for Apr 21, 11th Panzer Division of 7th Army withdrawn from line east of Bayreuth; blocking formation of Army Group South, facing east, resubordinated to 7th Army; C-in-C West reports continuing fuel shortages but ammunition state eased, Apr 21; operational units available in 7th Military district in southern Bavaria, some of which were reserved for Himmler for defence of Salzburg area, Apr 18.
Southern Europe: 26th Panzer Division to cross northwards across the Po overnight Apr 21/22, 29th Panzer Grenadier Division possibly also involved; Allied breakthrough south of Ferrara, Apr 21, German 362nd Division apparently vanished.
