Description

Western Europe: Hitler demands that an example should be made of Georgian mutineers on Texel Island, Apr 8, demands to know what action had been taken.

Southern Europe: Army Group South reports on Apr 5 that ammunition and fuel stocks so low that Group unable to guarantee conduct of future operations, transport situation blamed with railways and roads either jammed with traffic or destroyed by air attack, no telephone communication between armies, army group and Berlin for past week.

Japanese minister, Lisbon: lengthy arguments for Japanese/Soviet alliance to face Western Allies, Germany was finished and only a matter of time before Western Allies turned all their attention on Japan.

French delegate, Stockholm; report of Apr 5 on Ribbentrop's visit to Stockholm, seeking an agreement with Western Allies to oppose Soviet Union.
