Description

Western Europe: Army Group B battle reports for Apr 2, German forces on defensive and being forced back in face of Allied pressure, air supplies and reinforcements essential if Group was to succeed; 11th Army formed as new formation in western battle area with named new commander, Apr 3, probably to direct operations east of Kassel; 15th Air Division to cooperate with 11th Army, hitherto known as 67th Army Corps, Apr 3.

Southern Europe: 90th Panzer Grenadier Division, in reserve in Italy, to transfer to unspecified destination, Apr 2-6; detailed strength of Army Group E in Yugoslavia as at Mar 30, totalling some 415,000 men and 75,000 horses.
