Western Europe: Army Group H seeking advice on measures for dealing with 12,000 to 15,000 tons of war-gas ammunition in ammunition depot Luebbecke considered to be threatened by Allies; 17th SS Panzer Grenadier Division ordered by Kesselring to destroy Allied tanks pressing forward on both sides of Buchen, Allied thrust over Tauber in direction of Wuerzburg to be smashed by Division Bayern and SS School Ellwengen; Hitler orders all CinCs and GOCs to do everything to block forward thrusts of Allies by cutting rearward communications; alternative HQs proposed for CinC West in Ohrdruf, for Army Group H firstly in area north of Osnabrueck then Bremen or Hanover area, for Army Group B at first south-east of Ruhr, then north-west or north of Kassel, for Army group G firstly Stuttgart area then south-west of Nuremberg.
Southern Europe: CinC South West ration strengths for 10th Army, 14th Army and Army Liguria and GAF for Feb 20.
