Description

Mr Bromley, BONIFACE reports: summaries texts.

Europe: Frankfurt defended by 800-900, Nazi Party left city contrary to Commandant's instructions; Allied pressure in lower Rhine increasing, break-through made from Remagen bridgehead; Supreme Command of German Army now divided into three echelons.

Northern Italy: Army of Liguria insufficient forces; German morale good, desertions increased in one Italian division; German units adequately mobile, not so Italians; small arms deficiency; army capable of limited defence only.
