Western Europe: 116th Panzer Division situation report on western Normandy front, Aug 4; 9th SS Division withdrawing from Front line, Aug 4; 10th SS Panzer Division preparing to abandon its main defence line, Aug 4; German Army authorities had blown up and abandoned bases at St Brieuc by morning of Aug 4; withdrawals by 276th and 277nd Divisions during night of Aug 3; 12th Panzer Division relieved by 272nd Infantry Division, Aug 4; 84th Army Corps situation report, Aug 4; 47th Panzer Corps report for Aug 4; 1st SS Panzer Corps orders greater awareness in view of expected Allied attacks, Aug 1.

Reich Airfleet reports on Allied attacks including attack on Leuna synthetic fuel works on July 28.
