Western Europe: combat report from 2nd Parachute Corps on Normandy Front for July 15, very heavy Allied attacks in St Lo area, heavy German losses forcing withdrawals; 10th SS Ranger Division expecting major Allied attack in Caen and River Orne area, July 15; 2nd Parachute Corps decimated and probably unable to defend St Lo against any future major Allied attack, July 15; partial withdrawal by 2nd SS Panzer Division, July 15; Goering prohibits all GAF aircraft from overflying areas hit by Allied air raids, July 14.
