West Europe: 1st SS Corps new defence line southwest of Caen, July 9; battle reports from Carentan area, July 9, heavy fighting; 2nd SS Panzer Division operating as battle groups at focal points of 84th Army Corps, July 9, to assemble in Periers area; front line of Panzer Lehr Division, July 9, to make thrust against Canal de Vire, July 10; boundaries of Panzer Lehr Division, July 9; Goering orders stringent restriction in use of aviation fuel to operational purposes, July 9.
