Mr Loxley BONIFACE summaries.

France: Hitler Jugend Division reports Allies attacking after artillery preparation, constant reinforcements observed coming from north-east, three divisions established in point of penetration, June 27; CinC West orders for combing out of all branches of armed forces for motor transport drivers to meet sharp decrease in numbers resulting from Allied actions, June 27; production of new fighter aircraft dependent on sending back damaged aircraft as complete as possible, salvage detachments being reinforced for this purpose, June 26.

Italy: Ancona demolished June 26; battle reports for June 26 from 19th GAF Field Division, 14th Panzer Corps, 90th Panzer Grenadier Division, 278th Infantry Division, 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division; further battle reports for June 26 indicate local shortages of ammunition, 90th Panzer Grenadier Division, 76th Corps, 1st Parachute Division, 162nd Infantry Division; 15th Panzer Grenadier Division to take over sector from 334th Division, June 28; 26th Panzer Division subordinated to 14th Corps, June 26.

Western Europe: air raid damage in Hamburg and Brunsbuettel, June 26.
