France: situation report from 2nd Air Corps for June 8, Allied tanks sighted Escoville, no sightings at St Samson, 21st Panzer Division and 12th SS Panzer Division to continue attack, glider incursions on Lorient area, parachutists north east of Nantes, Allied air raids in areas of Paris and Argenteuil; German naval authorities, Brittany and Brest ordered to extend preparations for total destruction, June 8; preparations for destruction of Granville harbour hindered by Allied air raids, June 8; situation report from Cherbourg for June 8, concentration of ships off east Cotentin coast, Marcouf battery surrounded, attempt to dislodge Allies in progress, preparations for landing in Quineville area noted, main defence line north east of Marcouf-Edmodville-Magneville; transport space urgently needed for 3rd Parachute Division, June 8; Allied forces reported moving in strength towards Valognes, Joganville occupied, urgent request for air strikes against Allied naval vessels off east coast, and in support of ground operations, heavy air raid on Granville harbour, Marcouf in German hands, tank battle near Bayeux, June 8; 13th Flak Division reports Allied landings at Dives sur Mer, large numbers of paratroops landed in Coutances area, German counter measures began with air attacks on shipping concentrations and unloading operations, June 8
